they are transient.
suffocate me not with isms,
they are fleeting.
bury me not with examples,
they are ephemeral.
deceive me not with actions,
they are evanescent.
trouble me not with beliefs,
they are temporal.
deafen me not with definitions,
they always fade.
terrorise me not with theories,
they are transient.
but…
touch my soul and being,
instruct me with timeless words,
exhort me with antique expostulations;
illuminate me with eternal light,
counsel me with immortal ideas,
because…

Good point. The ability to make the distinction between the ephemeral and the eternal is the main purpose of being alive. Putting emphasis on the correct choice between the two defines one’s humanity and the future awaiting one in the endless eternity.
