unaffected and unbowed it stood
in the midst of the crashing waves
unbowed, fixed,
stolid and solid
the rock stood
receiving the bathing and fluid waves
it stood unmoved
unshaken
a sign of ‘solidity’
as i looked
at the fluid waves
their incessant movement
freedom
contrasts with fetters
the rock
is moved from outside
