When a man is too jealous of his wife, it is veering towards obsession and not love. Many young girls fall into this trap and most times live their lives in the hell hole because they cannot exit again. Excessive jealousy is a means of control. Control that sometimes cover the actions ( which the controller partakes in-” Apani kò ní jé a mú idà kojá l’órí òun”) of the controller and softens the “controllee” to a point in which s/he begins to think his/her existence depends on the controller. S/he becomes malleable and doubts so much. So, forget your friend and wish and wait for the day she will ‘open eye’ and face her controller. On that day if it ever come, you will hear stories. That is if you have not been hearing stories now.

Recently, thoughts of her have been ruminating through my head.
Infact I drove through her neighbourhood which is just about 5 minutes from mine last Friday but didn’t think of trying to check her.
I stood no chance anyway.
On like two different occasions I’d parked not so far from her neighbourhood and called her relentlessly to no avail.
I’ve lost my young beautiful friend to 3 years married life (wif a lovely boy) and I can’t see her again.
